Today, 55% of the world’s population lives in urban areas, a share projected to reach 68% by 2050. While many migrate to urban areas in hopes of improving their lives, a large number of migrants are still forced to live in slums due to a lack of adequate training and opportunities. Women face a lot more discrimination and hardship with the limited resources that they have access to in under-resourced and spatially segregated urban areas.
Tailored interventions and policy changes at large are required to impact a change by providing access to social infrastructure, affordable childcare and schooling facilities.

D Originals is a social enterprise committed to empowering women and children to realize their true potential and live with dignity. With every product we create, we work towards uplifting urban women by creating meaningful opportunities and driving impact-led change.
Training
Training them to develop a specific skill in areas such as pattern making, cutting, printing etc.
Providing Employment
Providing direct or contractual employment through the production of our bags.
Financing
Providing micro financing to purchase necessary equipment required for production, making them independent to perform contractual work.
Profit Sharing
Providing a profit-share to the women so they are able to educate their children.
